It has been a huge pleasure to partner with the Western Sydney University in the production of their internationally successful Solar Car!
The WSU solar team is now rested and back in Australia after a very successful American Solar Challenge, and ready to get working towards the 2019 World Solar Challenge. After 1,700 miles, across four states from Nebraska to Oregon, navigating mountain climbs, winding valleys, endless plains and urban streets…they did it! WSU came in first at the finishing post of the American Solar Challenge!
WSU was awarded overall victory, the first non-American team to take out the American Solar Challenge. The winning margin? Sixteen minutes and eight seconds…after 37 hours of racing from Nebraska to Oregon.
